COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Leadership and Management course is essential reading for anyone wanting to improve their skills and reach their potential as a team leader or manager. The course is fully interactive and prompts you to assess your own leadership or management style and then learn how to develop it further. The course covers key topics such as effective communication, the importance of managing your time well, how to build solid relationships with your team, mental fitness and taking care of your own wellbeing, and how to better solve workplace problems.
This course will benefit anyone who is new to management or who would like to refresh their existing managerial skills.

COURSE OUTLINE
Module One: Introduction to Leadership and Management
This module is a simple introduction to the course and gives you the opportunity to download the course workbook and take a personality test to learn more about your leadership style.
Module Two: Effective Communication
This module looks at verbal communication and the subtleties of body language, together with the basics of emotional intelligence, and how these skills combine to help you become better at an essential leadership and management skill – giving feedback.

Module Three: Productive Use of Time

COURSE FORMAT
The taught instructor-led course will be a suitable mix of lectures, tutorials, workshops, case studies, videos and hands on practical exercises. Delegates will be given immediate opportunities to apply what they have learned with real life problems and case studies. A comprehensive course workbook is at the core of this course and delegates will also be guided through additional material in the instructor-led sessions.
PREREQUISITES
Prerequisites for the course include basic understanding of HR principles and practices or relevant work experience in an administrative or managerial role. Preferably at least a diploma graduate in a relevant field and/or equivalent or is planning a career profession related to Human Resource and Administration. The course requires an intermediate to advance level of proficiency in the English language.
