Brief Description

The program teaches students how to communicate information gained via technical or experimental work using technical writing. The course focuses on the elements that influence the intricacy of the language and concepts used. They’ll learn how to produce a variety of technical reports, including laboratory reports, research reports, design and feasibility studies, progress reports, and consultancy reports, among others. Several language, structural, style, and content challenges that you may experience while describing the results of your study are also addressed in the course.

  • Recognize the significance of technical writing skills in a professional setting.
  • Recognize the steps of the technical report preparation process.
  • Demonstrate the ability to pitch technical reports to the desired audience/reader at the right level.
  • Recognize the fundamental elements of reports, such as format, linguistic and grammatical accuracy, and graphic selection and application.
  • Use the ideas outlined above to create professional, technical reports that are effective.
